Business Applications

Custom software that runs your operations — pipelines, stock, documents and dashboards aligned to how your team already thinks, not how a SaaS vendor dictates. You own the code, you own the data, you own the roadmap.

Discuss your project

When this service fits

You have outgrown spreadsheets, email chains and three tools that do not sync with each other. You need one place for the truth — with permissions, audit trails and reports that leadership actually trusts.

You may have tried generic SaaS platforms and found that the features you need are behind a higher pricing tier, the data model does not match your workflow, or the API access you need to connect other systems requires an enterprise contract.

HILLMAY SOFT designs modular business applications: we can start with one department or one workflow, prove value quickly, and expand into adjacent areas — or deliver a phased platform roadmap from the start for organisations ready to invest in the full picture.

Typical deliverables

  • Customer & sales workspaces — CRM-style relationship management without the cookie-cutter limits: your pipeline stages, your fields, your reports.
  • Operations boards — jobs, assignments, SLAs and escalation notifications that match your service delivery model.
  • Inventory, assets and fulfilment — stock locations, movements, low-stock alerts and fulfilment workflows with optional barcode support.
  • Finance-friendly exports and dashboards — management views that pull live data, plus structured exports to accounting software so your finance team is not waiting for someone to run a report.
  • Role-based access and approval chains — who can see what, who can edit, who must sign off. Configurable without developer involvement once built.
  • Activity history and audit trails — every significant action timestamped and attributed to a user, for compliance, dispute resolution and operational review.
  • API connections to existing tools — your accounting system, email platform, payment gateway and marketing tools connected so data flows automatically rather than being re-entered.
  • Document generation — quotes, invoices, contracts and reports templated and generated from live data, with optional e-sign workflows.

How a business application project runs

Business applications are the most complex projects we deliver, and the ones where process matters most. Our standard approach:

Discovery workshop

We map the current workflow — including the workarounds and the things people do in spreadsheets that "nobody is supposed to know about." This is where real requirements live.

Data model design

Before any UI is drawn, we agree the core entities (clients, jobs, items, documents) and how they relate. Getting this right early avoids expensive restructuring later.

Phased delivery

We release a usable subset to a small group of real users before the full rollout. Real-world feedback at this stage is worth far more than hypothetical review of wireframes.

Migration planning

If you have data in spreadsheets, a legacy system or another platform, we plan the migration as part of the project — not as an afterthought on go-live day.

Sectors we often support

If your sector is not listed, the underlying workflow patterns — client records, jobs, tasks, finance views — are often sector-agnostic. Contact us to discuss.

Starting from a WolfSuite Core foundation typically reduces cost by 25–40% for service businesses whose model fits the starter product. Ask us whether it applies to your brief.

Frequently asked

Often you should. We say so when an off-the-shelf tool is the right answer for your budget and workflow. Custom development earns its cost when: your process does not fit the SaaS model, you need to own the data model outright, integration requirements are complex, or the total cost of SaaS licensing over 3–5 years exceeds a build cost that pays back in year two.
Changes are handled through a documented change request process. Small adjustments within the spirit of agreed scope are often absorbed in the sprint. Larger changes are assessed for time and cost impact, agreed in writing, and scheduled — either within the current engagement or as a follow-on phase.
Your preference. We can deploy to your existing infrastructure, a cloud provider account you own (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), or help you set up appropriate hosting. We avoid locking you into a hosting arrangement you cannot exit. All credentials and deployment documentation are handed over at launch.

Scope your business application

Describe the problem — the process you want to fix, the data you need to control, the team it will serve. That is enough to start.
