Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 2026 · HILLMAY SOFT LTD, Company No. 17258087
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work correctly and to remember your preferences between visits. Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called "first-party cookies"; those set by other services are called "third-party cookies".
What cookies this site uses
HILLMAY SOFT LTD uses only essential first-party cookies. These are strictly necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off.
| Cookie name | Purpose | Duration | Essential? |
|---|---|---|---|
cookie_consent |
Remembers that you have seen the cookie notice so it does not appear on every page. | 12 months | Yes |
session |
Maintains basic session state for the contact form (CSRF protection). Cleared when you close your browser. | Session | Yes |
What we do NOT use
- Analytics cookies — we do not use Google Analytics, Hotjar, Mixpanel or any equivalent. We do not track your behaviour across pages.
- Advertising cookies — we do not run retargeting or display advertising. No advertising network has access to your visit.
- Social media cookies — we do not embed social media widgets (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, etc.) that would set third-party cookies.
- Third-party tracking — no external party receives data about your visit through this website.
Third-party resources loaded by this site
This website loads the following resources from external servers. These providers may set their own cookies or log requests in accordance with their own privacy policies:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) — used to load the Inter typeface. Google may log the request. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Unsplash (images.unsplash.com) — background images on some pages. Unsplash may log image requests. See unsplash.com/privacy.
These are resource requests, not tracking tools — no personal data about you is intentionally shared with these providers beyond what is inherent in a standard HTTP request (your IP address and browser details).
How to control cookies
Because we only use essential cookies, there is no consent choice required under UK PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations). However, you can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
Blocking or deleting essential cookies may prevent the contact form from functioning correctly, as the CSRF protection token requires a session cookie.
Changes to this policy
If we introduce any new cookies — for example, if we add analytics in the future — we will update this policy, change the date above, and add a consent mechanism before any non-essential cookies are set.
